14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [a]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

What is the John 3:14+ project? A reminder to focus on Jesus on the cross. Jesus says these words to Nicodemus in a secret meeting. God’s people rebelled against Him while they were in the desert. Seraph serpents were sent to punish the people because they sinned. A bite led to death, unless they looked at the bronze serpent God instructed Moses to make. (Numbers 21:6-8)
